|I would like to try a raised bed garden. Does this help deter slugs?

|Slugs like to hang out in cool, moist places so if you can keep debris cleaned up, they will have fewer places to hide. Gardening in a raised bed will help but you may have to resort to using a slug bait. I use the iron based product called Sluggo. It's safe to use around people and pets and any bait that is not consumed by slugs dissolves into simple iron which will be used by the soil. Best wishes with your new raised garden!
