We live in the South and every year our tomato plants get eaten up by bugs. This year we planted our tomato plants in huge flower pots.
Question: Can we put the potted tomato plants on our screened in porch, they would get a lot of sunlight and air, or do they need to get pollinated by bees.

Tomato flowers have both male and female parts so you won't need insect activity for pollination. You can lightly tap the flowering branches to dislodge the pollen so it falls onto the female parts of the flowers. Tomatoes are grown in greenhouses all the time and rather than introduce insects, growers simply jiggle the plants or tap on the branches with opened flowers. You can do the same. Hope you have a great harvest!
