Cactus indoors needs lots of bright light. If you've taken your indoor cactus outdoors for the summer, start by setting it in a shaded spot for a few days, gradually moving it to a brighter and brighter location. Start with an hour of morning sun, then full morning sun, then morning and part afternoon sun. In a week or 10 days it should be able to thrive in a full sun spot in your garden.
