Hydrangea - Knowledgebase Question

I bought some Annabelle Hydrangeas last year. I think I made a mistake this spring. I cut them back to ground level. Will they survive? I live in the Chicago area.

You're in luck! Annabelle blooms on the new growth of the season so even if you prune them back to groundlevel each spring, they will grow and flower for you. Whew! Glad I could be the bearer of good news!
