|Crape myrtles flower on the new growth of the season. If yours have already begun to grow and develop flower buds, wait until they have finished flowering and then cut them back. They will reward you with a second flush of blooms later in the season. If they have not yet begun to grow and develop flower buds, you can prune them back now. Best wishes with your crape myrtles.
