We had new shade sod put in last summer. Now we have a mosaic of dried/burnt grass with some green inbetween. Not a dog issue-looks burnt/lt.brn-yellow.Did it freeze burn or could it be grubs? We treated before sod put in.Thanks

It sounds more like winter injury than anything else - possibly even snow mold. The good news is that you can rake the lawn to encourage good air circulation and as soon as the weather warms up and you begin mowing regularly, the damage will disappear. I don't think there's an issue with grubs. If any are in the soil, they are very deep and won't surface and begin to feed until about mid-summer. In July you can peel back some of the sod and look for grubs. If you find 10 or more per sq. ft. you can control them with an application of Grubex or similar product. Best wishes with your lawn.
