Washington State University recommends feeding a lawn in April, June, September and late November with a 3-1-2 ratio of NPK such as a 21-7-14. If your lawn has weeds you can use a weed and feed rather than just a straight fertilizer. If you use a weed and feed, start in April with a second application in June if new weeds are appearing again.

There are products on the market for ants and termites (Home Defense Spray) and some last for an entire year. I'd spray in the spring and repeat the spray if the product label recommends repeated sprays.

Hope this answers all your questions.
