I am building a raised bed and want to know if it alright to stain it or seal the wood with deck perservative,such as cabot Australian oil stain

Sealing the wood should be fine for ornamental plants but I'd be cautious about using sealers for a vegetable garden. Check the label to make sure it's safe for veggies, or use a natural preservative such as linseed oil instead. Linseed oil takes a very long time to dry but once it does, it makes a terrific preservative and it's safe to use for vegetable gardens. Best wishes with your new raised bed!
