5 year old pineapple guava tree produces blooms but no fruit. should i cut it back every year?

Pineapple guavas are self fertile and if your plant is mature enough it will produce fruit. I'd hold off on pruning and leave the flowers alone. You may see some fruit beginning to develop within the next few weeks. What a surprise!
