How and when should I prune my year old lavender plants?

Prune it lightly in the spring, then again in mid-summer and once again in late fall. Remove only a few inches of growth from each stem and don't prune back to bare wood or no new foliage will develop. Pruning back lightly will encourage additional branching and lots more flowers. Enjoy!
