We've got a type of bad grass that is reseeding itself into our newly planted lawn. Is there anything we can do to remove this invasive grass without killing existing good grass? We were planning on reseeding and fertilizing this spring but need to come up with a plan about this problem.

It is difficult to eradicate a grassy weed in a lawn. Digging it out is probably the best approach at the moment - until you have it identified. I'd dig one out, place it in a plastic baggie and take it to your local Master Gardener clinic or to the cooperative extension office for positive identification. Helpful folks there can suggest control remedies. Contact OSU Yamhill County Extension, 2050 NE Lafayette Avenue, McMinnville, OR 97128 , Main office phone: 503-434-7517.
