Every year our yard starts off wonderul pretty green. By the middle of May it starts to turn brown and die. No matter what we do we have no grass the entire summer. Please help!!

There are both cool season and warm season grasses. I suspect you have cool season turfgrasses and they brown out in the summer when the weather gets warm. You can overseed with bermuda, a warm season grass. As your cool season grasses go dormant in the summer, bermuda will green up. Then in the fall when the weather cools the bermuda will go dormant and your cool season grasses will green up.
