I am planting in approx 4ft by 15ft space, 1/2 full sun and 1/2 shade. I want shrubs that dont lose leaves in winter and I am a beginner. what are the best shrubs for me to plant? And how many should i get? or how far apart should I plant them.

Spacing depends upon the mature width of the shrubs and this information is listed on the plant tags. You'll want to space them far enough apart that they can grow unemcumbered to their mature width, unless you plan to shear or prune them. Some evergreen choices you might consider include evergreen Azaleas, Boxwood, holly, Mugo pine or Pieris. Best wishes with your new shrubs.
