A north facing window box probably gets limited sunlight. If so, nasturtium (Tropaeolum), flowering tobacco(Nicotiana), pansy (Viola), lobelia (Lobelia), bachelor button (Centaurea), Pinks (Dianthus), bells of Ireland (Moluccella), forget-me-not (Myosotis), baby blue eyes (Nemophila), perilla (Perilla), and fuchsia (Fucshia) are good annuals to plant. Vegetables need lots of sunshine so you may be limited to growing leaf lettuces in your north facing window box. Good luck with your planter boxes!
