Arizona State University has a publication to help you learn about the perennials that grow well in the low desert. You can download a copy by going to:
http://cals.arizona.edu/pubs/g...

Not only does this publication list the plants that do well, but also describes best sun exposure, bloom time and cultural requirements. Print off a copy and you'll have a handy reference so you can guide your customers.
