Hosta foliage, like that of most tender perennials, will die down after the first frost. Rake to remove the debris from the garden bed (to eliminate any insects, eggs, or potential diseases), then mulch the area to help keep the ground from heaving in alternate freezes and thaws. Your hosta should weather the winter without problems.
