Where would I find a soil pH test? Do I need a professional to come out and take a sample or can we do it ourselves?

There are many brands of pH test kits available in your garden center. These will give you the pH number. They are easy to do yourself - just follow the directions in the kit. If you're more interested in a comprehensive soil test which will provide information about the pH, mineral and organic content, etc. you can take a soil sample and have it analysed through Colorado State University. The test comes with recommendations for soil amendments and fertilizers. Here's where to download the soil sample brochure: http://www.soiltestinglab.colo...

Best wishes with your landscape.
