please advise on what to plant in an area up against my house where the gutter and heat pump is located.there is no sun and the grass is not surviving.

There are a few plants that will grow in the shade and will tolerate damp soils. Aconitum (Monkshood), Alchemilla (Lady?s Mantle), Alocasia (Elephant Ear), Mimulus (Monkey Flower), Miscanthus(some varieties) (Maiden Grass), Astilbe, Myosotis (Forget Me Not), Astilboides tabularis (Shield Leaf), Athyrium (Lady Fern, ) Bergenia, Phalaris arundinacea (Ribbon Grass), Blechnum (Deer Fern), Physostegia (Obedient Plant), hosta, impatiens, lobelia, bleeding heart. Hope they work well in your landscape.
