Hello,
Here in central WI we are having an unusually early spring with temps expected to be in the 70's - unheard of the first week of April. I am wondering if it is too early to begins seeding the bare spots and over-seeding the rest of the lawn. Just wondering if I can take advantage of the weather to get an early start.
Thanks,
Greg

I'd go ahead and overseed. Grass seeds will sprout when the weather suits them or just hang around waiting for good weather. They will sprout at temperatures as low as 40F and for the most part will just suspend their growth if temperatures go lower than that. If you have spring weeds sprouting, the soil temperature is warm enough for grass seeds to sprout. Hope your warm weather hangs around for a bit more! Enjoy!
