I was told at home depot that you lay down seed first, then lime and fertilizer at the same time. Then water. Is this true?

If you are seeding a new lawn, you can mix the lime and the fertilizer into the soil then level the soil and sow your seeds. If you are overseeding your existing lawn you can seed first, wait until the new grass has been mowed twice, then lime and feed. My concern with liming, feeding and seeding all at the same time is that the fertilizer may burn the newly emerging grass blades. Best wishes with your lawn.
