|Strawberries grow from crowns, not bulbs and most strawberry crowns are available either as bareroot or as potted plants. The crowns should be set just barely at soil level with the roots down in the soil. When the soil and air temperatures are warm, new leaves will sprout from the tops of the crowns. If you planted them too deeply they will rot before they have a chance to grow. Hope this sheds a little light on the subject - you may have to dig and replant if you planted them too deeply. Good luck with your strawberries.
