Bougainvilleas are frost tender so growing them outdoors might not be an option for you but they can be grown in containers in Georgia. You can take them indoors during the winter months where they will continue to grow and remain evergreen or you can allow them to go dormant in the fall and overwinter them in a garage or outbuilding that remains above freezing during the winter months. Wish there were a better way for you to enjoy these fabulous plants!
