i bought the lot next to my house. when i tilled the soil there was tons of broken bricks and rocks. my lot is 40X100, will i have to pick the rocks out by hand or is there a easier way? |
I wonder if it was construction debris, an old foundation, or even old leach lines or a septic system? Whatever you've tilled up, you'll want to remove it before you try to plant in the area. You might be able to rent a bobcat at a local equipment rental center and scrape the debris up into a corner of the lot. If you have enough bricks you could use them to build borders, a retaining wall or even a sidewalk. I'd get them out of the main planting area before proceeding with your gardening plans. |
