You can hose them off the leaves of your tree. Insecticidal soap can sometimes be used but I find the residue burns the leaves which causes much more damage than the aphids could possibly cause. The good news is that both ladybugs and a tiny parasitizing wasp will usually control the pests. If you have lots of flowering plants in your garden, beneficial insects will come and will help control the aphids.
