I planted an Austrailian Pine two years ago and its getting rust color on the tips. What does it need to make it well again?

Without seeing the tree, it's difficult to make a positive diagnosis. The browning tips can indicate water stress or winter burn, or even indicate a disease called Pine needle rust which is a fungal disease. Rather than guessing, I'll suggest you prune off the tips of a few of the affected branches and take them into your local cooperative extension office for a positive diagnosis. Contact Colorado State University Cooperative Extension, Douglas County, 410 Fairgrounds Road, Castle Rock, CO 80104. Best wishes with your pines.
