I have been trying to locate and identify the name of this ground cover. It has leaves like strawberry, with runners, and flowering stem about 4 inches with cluster of small blue/purple flowers.
I had them in Washington state.

I'll bet the plant is Ajuga (carpet bugle). The leaves are green or green/blue and the plant spreads by runners with new little plantlets growing at the ends of the runners. They will root wherever they touch the ground. Four-inch spikes of purple/blue flowers appear in the spring. Hope this is the plant!
