Portulaca is originally from the hot, dry plains of southern Brazil, Uruguay and northern Argentina, and is also called moss rose. It grows best in full sunshine, in lean, dry soils but will need to be watered deeply once each week during the growing season. Try to keep water off the flowers when it's time to water. Other than that, it's an easy annual to grow. Enjoy!
