I have heard that you do not need to prune knock out roses, is this true. I wanted to reduce the height of my current plants but didn't want to destroy them

Knock Out roses do not require pruning but they take well to pruning. You can reduce their size by up to one half without damaging them. If they are still too large, you can prune them back again next spring. Good luck with your pruning project!
