|Verbena looks best if you pinch back young plants and deadhead regularly during the growing season. Most verbena are perennial plants but there are some annual kinds which will self-sow if you stop deadheading towards the end of the summer to allow seedheads to form. Aside from cutting them back to encourage bushy growth (and more flowers) verbena only needs to be watered regularly during the growing season for best performance. Enjoy!
