What steps do I have to do to put new St. Augustine grass in my back yard? Everything is clean. I live in tampa fl

If the area is clean, rake the area to break large clods and remove be sure to any remaining debris. Fine grade by scraping across the surface to smooth uneven areas. The finished grade should be 1/2 inch below walks, driveways and patios. Sod is uniformly machine cut and will conform to any irregularities left in the grade. Once the soil has been prepared, you can lay your sod. Best wishes with your new lawn.
