You can grow most any cool-season crop in the fall and winter months in your region. Concentrate on leafy plants, or roots, and avoid plants that must flower in order to produce fruit. Plant any of the cole crops (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower), lettuce, spinach, radish, peas, carrots and turnips. Wait until springtime to plant heat-lovers like squash, tomato, eggplant or peppers. Enjoy your winter garden!
