Just wondered if you might know what accounts for my "purple blush" eggplants turning bright yellow? I had great luck with them this year, and most of the fruits looked like they were 'supposed' to--white with light purple striations. But maybe 1/6 - 1/8 of my harvest turned yellow. They're still very pretty--and edible--but I'm curious what the cause of this phenomenon is.

What an oddity! There are some varieties that do produce yellow eggplant, and perhaps one of those is included somewhere in the parentage of your hybrid -- occasionally a plant will exhibit an odd branch or "sport" which performs differently from the rest of the plant. Perhaps this is why you have two types of eggplant on one plant. I'm glad they still taste good.
