I'm looking for a flowering evergreen that can be used as a hedge. I want something that grows 4-6 feet tall, but doesn't go dormant in the winter. Does such a plant exist? Also, can I plant oleander in Idaho?

Oleander grows well in some parts of Idaho, but it likes warm winters so if your garden gets snow or below freezing temperatures it won't grow for you. Some flowering evergreens to consider include Daphne odora, dwarf rhododendron or azalea, pieris, viburnum and yew. Enjoy!
