sweet broom - Knowledgebase Question

I bought two sweet brooms and planted side by side, one is flowering and the other died on me..what can I plant in its place now.

I'd replace it with another sweet broom. Amend the soil with some organic matter to help it drain well yet hold enough moisture for good root growth. I think two brooms will look more attractive than one broom and a second shrub. Best wishes with your garden!
