|Fruit trees are typically pruned in the late winter before new growth begins in the spring. Crepe myrtles flower on new growth of the season so early spring pruning will encourage lots of new flowering growth. After the flowers fade you can prune again to encourage additional new growth and a second flush of flowers later in the season. Enjoy your garden!
