Squirrels are really difficult to deter so a barrier around your plants is the best way to keep them from destroying your veggies. They aren't as attracted to berries as they are to your other edibles. I'm sitting on the fence in terms of whether or not to feed them. If you set out squirrel food you may attract squirrels that may not otherwise visit your garden. On the other hand, providing some dried corn or other food might keep them so full they won't raid your garden. Best wishes with your veggie garden.
