I have 2 questions:

1) Where the egg plant will do better, in ground or in pot?

2) Where the mint plant (herb) will do better, in ground or in pot?

Eggplant will grow in a container, as long as it is large enough to accommodate the roots. A three gallon container should be just fine. As for mint, it can be quite invasive and difficult to eradicate from the garden so I would highly recommend growing it in a container so you can control the root growth. Enjoy your garden!
