Your climbing hydrangea will bloom on new growth of the season so if you prune it back in late winter or early spring so it will have time to develop new flowering shoots. It normally blooms in June or July so you should get some flowers if you prune it back now. Or, you can wait until after it has flowered and prune it back then.
