|Turfgrass has a hard time growing in the shade so overseeding every couple of years will help you maintain a green lawn. Rake the area hard to make furrows for the seeds to settle into the soil then broadcast the seeds and keep them well watered. Tall fescue is the most shade tolerant of all the grasses so it may be your best bet. Best wishes with your lawn!
