I purchased some sagina subulata auree about 2wks ago. They looked healthy but now 1 is turning brown in some places. I noticed they are root bound and they are moist. I had them sitting in full sun waiting to be planted. What happened to them? They will be planted today in full sun. Zone 8 Thanks

Plants in containers can suffer from the heat exposure because their roots can become overheated. (The roots are exposed to more heat than they would be if planted in the ground.) I'd go ahead and plant them, give them a couple of weeks to adjust to their new growing sites and then prune off any brown plant parts. Once the roots become established you should see healthy new growth.
