My son has a mango tree which last year gave us really sweet mangoes. With
this very cold winter we
had the tree looks like its dead although at the very top some flowers are
coming out. What can we do if anything to save it?
We really hate to loose it.

The good news is that it is developing flowers. I hope leaves are not too far behind. I wouldn't prune it at this time. Instead, give it some time to recover. If all the branches are dead you can prune them off a little later in the season. You won't want to further shock the tree by pruning back the trunk or main stem. Just be patient and see how it recovers. It may be healthier than you think. Hope so!
