Crocus, hyacinth and daffodils are all spring blooming bulbs and are traditionally planted in the fall. If you have bulbs that are left over from last fall they probably won't survive if they've been in storage all this time. Hostas can be planted now and grow best in the shade. They bloom in late summer. Cannas grow in full sunshine and flower from spring and throughout the summer if you remove the faded flowers. Echinacea grows best in full sunshine and will also flower from spring through the end of summer.
