Will they come back? - Knowledgebase Question

We had an especially cold winter for this area, and some of my plants are showing no signs of life: hybiscus, pride of Barbados and Phillipine violets. Should I cut them back or pull them out?

Sometimes the roots of tender plants will survive and recover but they might be slow in showing growth in the spring. I'd give them another 2-3 weeks. If you still don't see any signs of life, you'll need to dig and replace them. Let's hope for the best!
