Is this bird safe for them to eat. Do you need male & female to get berries.

The berries of both cotoneaster (pyracantha) and holly (Ilex) are safe for birds to eat. In fact, they love them! Holly plants need both a male and a female in the neighborhood in order to develop berries. Cotoneaster does not.
