|We planted a Chinese fan palm about 3 weeks ago. We planted it with potting soil and we also used miracle-gro quick start. We have been watering this palm on a regular basis, but the bottom row of leaves is turning brown as if something is missing. we have also mulch around the palm and it is located in the front outside corner of the house. Please help.

|It's normal and natural for the lowest fronds of your Chinese fan palm to turn brown and die. As long as the rest of the fronds look healthy and your palm is putting out new growth, the browning lower fronds shouldn't concern you. Simply cut them off close to the trunk or base of your palm. Best wishes with your new palm!
