Unless growth is poor or leaf color is pale, fertilizer isn't really necessary. Your trees will get the nutrients they need from the soil. If you think your trees need a boost, you can use fertilizer spikes for trees or you can broadcast a general purpose 10-10-10 beneath the canopy of the tree and scratch it into the soil with a rake. The three numbers on the fertilizer label equate to nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. Use any brand with those three numbers and apply in amounts as recommended on the package. Best wishes with your trees.
