|If they are planted too early what do you cover them with at night to protect from frost?

|If frost is predicted you can cover over them with floating row cover (available at garden centers), or drive a few stakes in the ground and drape an old sheet over the plants. Keep the covering a few inches above the tops of the plants and remove the covering before the sun shines. If you leave the cover on in direct sun the plants can bake.
