In Florida, garlic can be grown in home gardens. Its culture is similar to that for onions. Suggested planting dates are September through February. The young plants withstand cold weather, with little danger from freezing. Choose a sunny spot, and plant each clove about 2-3 inches deep, spacing them 4-6 inches apart. Make sure the pointy end is sticking up and the flat, root end down. Cover with soil and water them in well. Enjoy!
