When do I plant tulip bulbs in my flower pots, and do I leave them sitting on the deck all winter? Should I cover the pots with anything?

Tulip bulbs are hardy in cold weather, so plant them now in well-draining potting soil, setting them about 2 1/2 times as deep as they are around. Cover with additional potting soil, water well, and leave them on your deck all winter. In the springtime the foliage will appear, followed by lovely flowers.
