What fertalizer works best for field corn

Corn needs nitrogen but the actual amount you should apply will depend upon your soil test. Without a current soil test on which to base your fertilizer program, a safe bet is a complete fertilizer such as 10-10-10 at a rate of about 25 pounds per 1,000 square feet of corn.
